Virtual Reality, 2015 - present, mixed medium

Does life mirror the creating process, or the art creation mirror life?
Since 2010, I have been migrating between Beijing, New York and London. This kind of life experience in big cities in different countries often brings feelings of doubt, confusion and fragmentation because of all kinds of differences, in language, culture, history, identity and even race. In addition, the Internet has transformed the traditional world, hence more or less everyone has a flickering, fast-changing feeling.
The complicated virtual world and the real life on the move have had a profound impact on my life as well as on my artistic creation. Perceptions and ideas that I used to take for granted are being broken, updated, iterated, which are naturally reflected in my creation.
I’m exploring new possibilities both in traditional paintings and in soft installations. Through the use of different and mixed materials, the finished art works emerge in the form of clippings, paintings, multi- dimensional devices and other forms. In my art works, one would find the tension between the space and the non-linear narrative in collages.
I also tried to blur the boundaries between the abstract and the re- alistic, drawings and installations. Shapes and sizes vary from one to the other. I’m trying to describe the continuing  reorganizing and fragmenting of the contemporary life, and the sense of confusion, uncertainty and confusion, brought about by a blurring world view.
